"Veggie Hogs" describes the Edible Car Competition sponsored by the Brown chapter of the Society of Women Engineers and the University's Division of Engineering (Elms, November/December). Why in the world would intelligent people use food to construct cars to be "released from the top of a ramp to see which could travel the farthest" when there are millions of people in this world who are starving? The food they used for their experiment would have done more good if donated to a local food pantry.
