Yaya DaCosta '04 made her New York stage debut this fall in the Signature Theatre Company's revival of Leslie Lee's The First Breeze of Summer. The one-time America's Top Model contestant was cast as the young Lucretia (above with Gilbert Owuor, who played her first love); Leslie Uggams played Lucretia's older and wiser self, matriarch Gremmer. The show, which was extended twice, kicked off a season honoring the Negro Ensemble Company.
