Robert H. Rohloff ’50
Robert H. Rohloff ’50, of Charleston, S.C., formerly of Warwick, R.I.; Jan. 17. After serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, he graduated from Brown and began a 38-year career at Amica Mutual Insurance Company in Rhode Island. He retired to South Carolina in 1988. He enjoyed Big Band music and Scott Joplin piano rag. At Brown he played the clarinet and oboe in the Brown Band. He enjoyed square-dancing and round-dancing clubs. In retirement, he volunteered as a docent at historical sites in Charleston and always enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards, and traveling. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, two stepdaughters, and nine grandchildren.
