Finding a Voice

“Read as much as you can and write as much as you can,” Jeffrey Eugenides ’82 urged aspiring writers. “They always tell you to find your own voice. I write in a multiplicity of voices.” In time, he said, “I began to think of that not as a virtue, but something I could accept. I’m always writing my first novel.”
