“Very luxurious for the time,” recalls Nancy Sherer Kapstein ’61 of her room in Morriss Hall. “I think the reason I fixed up my single so nicely and kept it so clean was the fact that the dorm was so new—we were the first occupants—and everything was clean and fresh.” She also liked that it overlooked a parking lot where her then-boyfriend would whistle when he came to fetch her for a date.
