On January 30, the Rev. Bernice King, who is Martin Luther King Jr.’s youngest daughter and CEO of the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, remembered the work of both her mother and father at the annual MLK Jr. Lecture. “I really believe,” she said, “that Dr. King was a gift to give us a way back to a better way, so that we could rid ourselves of the triple evils of what he called poverty, racism, and militarism.”
