Not even the rain could dampen our spirits as more than eighty classmates returned to campus to celebrate our 35th reunion. From the opening get-together at our reunion headquarters, the old Kappa Sigma house, to the wet march on graduation day, we enjoyed getting reacquainted with old friends and meeting new ones.

A cold but festive Campus Dance highlighted Friday night, with some classmates returning to our headquarters for more cheer and warmth before settling in for the night.

On Saturday our class lunch was enhanced by a question-and-answer session on the new academic initiatives at the University led by Bernicestine McLeod and executive vice president for planning Dick Spies. That night the class convened for dinner at the faculty club followed by the traditional pops concert. Due to the weather, Harry Connick Jr. and his band were forced inside to the Providence Performing Arts Center, but all who attended enjoyed a wonderful evening.

Many classmates attended the memorial service on Sunday, followed by a relaxing afternoon spent meandering around the campus or reacquainting ourselves with Providence. Our class again distinguished itself with our enthusiastic support for the University, as evidenced by our class gift. Dan Cain continued to work the crowd and to remind us that we have until June 30 to participate in the reunion gift campaign. Thanks to all who returned, and we hope to have an even greater turnout for the 40th.
