35th Reunion Report

June 7th, 2011

Just when you think it's as good as it can get, it just gets better and better.

Sue Simpson--you rock!

Please join us in expressing our gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to Sue Simpson for an extraordinary job in bringing together the best 35th Brown Reunion ever.

We had record attendance for any 35th yet, not to mention the record number of people schmoozing into the wee hours. Our energy was contagious and electric throughout the weekend.

Sue set the stage. She organized and inspired a Reunion committee, to whom we are also grateful:  Daniel Harrop, Elise Meyer, Gail Solomon, Helen Norris Baker, Lee Cort, Libby Hirsh Heimark, Mary Fasenmyer Robinson, Mary Tsangarakis, Michelle Proulx,Nancy Rosenberg, Robert Tracy, Steven Pavlakis, Susan Mazonson, and Walter Lada.

Let’s all pay tribute to Sue S. by posting on our Facebook page. Get your comments and pictures up, “like” this site, and “friend” your new and old class buds. We’re turning this site into an ongoing, active way to reconnect with classmates and make new connections--it’s the 21st century!

P.S. As reported at Reunion Weekend, we gave close to $2 million, a 35th Reunion record, breaking the previous mark of $1.6mil set by the Class of ’73.  It includes 102 gifts of $1,000 plus, of which 26 are Brown Annual Fund Leader gifts of $10,000 plus.  Special thanks to our campaign committee members: Carol Steadman, Clinton Lane, Debra Spicehandler, Judy Nusinoff Boomer, Lee Cort, Mitchell Berg, Neil Sevy, Stacey Holston Bewkes, Steven Pavlakis, Susan Mazonson, and Warren Gardner.

So far we have 41% participation--let’s break our class record of 51% in 1996. Get your contributions in before June 30, the close of the fiscal year.
