A soda jerk works triple time to keep up with the demands of the Blue Room crowd. Added in 1939, the Faunce House soda fountain gave Brown men a hangout where they could drink coffee and "cabinets" —so named for the boxes in which the superthick frappes were shaken. The room was furnished with mahogany coffee tables and upholstered chairs. Pembrokers were welcome, and it was a prime spot to bring a date.
