TAKE NOTE  Forbes magazine named Nancy Chang '73, managing director of OrbiMed Advisors, and John Chen '78, chairman of Sybase Inc., among the "Twenty-Five Notable Chinese-Americans" in its September 15 issue.

BIG MONEY MAN  Newsweek magazine dubbed financier Steven Rattner '74 "Mr. Big" in a profile printed in the August 11 issue. The magazine said Rattner had raised millions for the presidential runs of Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, and John Kerry and that his firm, Quadrangle Group, was tapped to manage New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg's $16 billion-plus fortune. "Steve Rattner has the ability to do almost anything," Bloomberg told Newsweek.

ON THE CLIMATE BEAT  Andrew Revkin '78, science correspondent for the New York Times, has won the 2008 John Chancellor Award for Excellence in Journalism for his coverage of climate change. He "has been a pioneer in multimedia journalism, blogging, podcasting, and shooting stills and imagery for stories from far-flung places," the Columbia University School of Journalism, which administers the award, said on its website.
