The toe belonged to Harold P. “Buzz” Andrews, the Bears’ captain and right halfback, who dropkicked the field goal that earned the Bears a spot in the 2016 Rose Bowl. Andrews, who was known primarily for his leadership, defense, and running skills, launched it at the Yale Bowl on November 6, 1915. It was the only field goal of his football career.
