“This is where I learned to think,” actor Laura Linney ’86 told students at the Ivy Film Festival in April. “This is where I learned what I liked, how to fight, how to be scared, and how to fail.” She lamented the moment in U.S. film history when “the artist somehow became entertainment, when the artist became a commodity, a business, a corporation.”
